This summer I’ve encountered several totem poles. When there’s a recurring theme, I’ve learned to pay attention to it. I’m not sure what it means, except that I have enjoyed my encounters and will enjoy exploring other connections.
Here is the totem pole that stands outside the Mid-America All Indian Center in Wichita, Kansas.
This one stands in front of the City Hall in Anchorage, Alaska
This one is in Ketchikan, Alaska. The weather was very rainy, and so the picture is a bit difficult to see.
This unusually-shaped one is in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
And finally, these are also in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
A really nice collection of different styles and locations.
